Medical Mission Trips

Picture of a boy
“At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in’.”
- Mother Teresa, quoting the New Testament

Our medical professionals have most definitely earned the right to be esteemed for their higher learnings. They have all been educated at some of the finest institutions in the world of medicine. But they have also learned that the phrase “higher learnings” does not necessarily refer to the amount of diplomas that a person has received. Instead, our doctors have learned that a higher learning actually occurs when a person figures out that it is more blessed to give than to receive. And to whom much is given, much is expected in return. There are so many in our world that cannot fend for themselves. Disease, pestilence, and tyranny have ravaged so many of our fellow human brethren, even in areas that one would assume has access to proper food, water, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care.

At Southeastern Medical Care, our people refuse to simply sit around and wait for someone else to help the poor, starving, malnourished, sick peoples of the world. Our staff is very passionate about missions. Most of our staff and physicians have gone on medical mission trips to various parts of the world, both overseas and domestically, in times of emergency and of relative peace. Regardless of how much work they have done, they realize there is more to do. The need for medical professionals in mission work will never cease, but we can bring hope. And if one more person brings hope, and that hope begins to multiply, then little by little, we can change our world. If you would be interested in partnering with Southeastern Primary Care Specialists, in any way, please contact us. The world needs us. And the world needs Southeastern Primary Care Specialists.
